I was so impressed with the members of Beta Rho, Alpha Zeta, and Phi chapters as I met with them yesterday! It was a beautiful day with warmth and sunshine - inside our lovely meeting room as well as outside. Many of these women contribute on all three levels of our organization - chapter, state, and international. They understand that what they do is important and have a passion for DKG. Our organization is blessed to have these women working toward our goals. The entire morning was well planned, and we had a lively discussion about membership, orientation, and getting involved in our organization. Those who get involved become empowered by the experience. My chapter (Pi) was also represented by our chapter president. We both felt like proud grandmothers. We "begat" Alpha Zeta and they "begat" Beta Rho. And to borrow someone else's phrase - they were joined by their cousins of Phi! How much fun! Thanks to Cindy Reynolds for the photos, and to Beta Rho, Alpha Zeta, and Phi for inviting Greta and I to share some time with you.
Had a great Three Chapter meeting in New Castle today. Alpha Sigma, Alpha Omicron, and Lambda greeted President Kay and these distinguished guests.
What a delightful day! This tri-chapter meeting with Alpha Omicron, Alpha Sigma, and Lambda sisters demonstrated the leadership, the generosity, and the passion of these key women educators. They are making a difference in their community and the state. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this uplifting day.
Alpha Kappa ' s meeting to celebrate their 6th birthday was a high occasion! High tea that is. The guest speaker told us about the benefits of tea, the history of tea, and cooking with tea. Our hostess for the evening had prepared a wide variety of scones made with tea. What a delightful time with my sisters - 60 years and going strong! Oh yes. Tea also stands for Time, Energy, and Attention. Put your TEA to good use today.
